Cooperation agreement with Babcock Noell GmbH

  • Date: 2012
The ANKA synchrotron radiation source and Babcock Noell GmbH (BNG) signed in August a cooperation agreement for a long-term strategic research and development cooperation.(from right to left): Dr. Ronald Hepper (Management Board BNG), Dr. Sara Casalbuoni (Projektleitung, ANKA, KIT), Cristian Boffo (Projektleitung BNG), Dr. Wolfgang Walter (BNG), Prof. Clemens Heske (Leitung ANKA, KIT), Melanie Turenne (BNG), Vessela Badeva-Knoblauch (ANKA, KIT)

ANKA and BNG will handle questions relevant for the development of superconducting undulators and will work out solutions. New standards of cooperation in research, development and industrialization of high-performance superconducting insertion devices will be set to the requirements of synchrotron radiation sources of last generation. More information on the development of superconducting undulators, and on the objectives and results of the scientific cooperation ANKA-BNG are available at the website of the "ANKA Insertion Devices group".
